Discover Langkawi in Malaysia by sailing catamaran

17 – 24 November 2018 (1 week)

Let your spirit be enchanted with a one week sailing holiday in tropical paradise. Staying on a yacht is the best way to relax and explore the beautiful islands of the Langkawi archipelago. Every day you sail from one tropical bay to another. No sailing experience is needed. There is plenty of time to explore the islands: wandering along the white beaches, hike the lustrous green jungle to visit waterfalls, take a dive in the cooling water….. This in combination with delicious vegetarian meals and the possibility of yoga and meditation in the morning, makes this holiday complete!

Itinerary of this sailing holiday

Day 1

Pick up in Telaga Marina at 10.00 am. After welcome with coffee or tea we set sail to Pulau Dangli (16 nm). This small, uninhabited island lies on the North coast of Langkawi. The nice beach and good snorkeling makes it a perfect place to explore and spend the night.

Day 2

In the morning there is time to snorkel and/or have a stroll on Pulau Dangli, before we are heading for Pulau Chabang (3 nm), where we have another nice swimming/snorkeling break. After that we sail to our destination where we spend the night: Kilim Geopark (5 nm).

Day 3

This day we explore the enchanting natural beauty of Kilim Geopark. This park consists of a riverdelta full of mangroves, impressive lime stone walls and a bat cave. A lot of wildlife can be found here: monkeys, white bellied eagles, otters, Monitor lizards… We take the dinghy up the river for an  expedition. In the evening we have diner at the floating restaurant ‘Hole in the Wall’. We stay here another night.

Day 4

Right after breakfast we set sail to Pulau Timun and Pulau Bumbon Besar (10 nm). In the afternoon you can explore these little, uninhabited islands, go for a swim or snorkel. We stay here for the night.

Day 5

Today we set sail to the beautiful marine park Pulau Payar (16 mijl). The best place in Langkawi for snorkeling and diving. We stay here for the night.

Day 6

In the morning we stay in the marine park to enjoy the island and underwater world. During lunch we set sail to Pulau Dayang Bunting, where the Lake of the Pregnant Maiden is located. This mysterious, deep blue lake is surrounded by dense rainforest and, though so close to the ocean, is filled with sweet water. We spend the night here.

Day 7 & 8

In the morning we visit the lake. In the afternoon we set sail to Kuah where we spend the night.

Day 8 At 10.00 am we bring you to the shore in Kuah after having had our last breakfast together.

All days

Every morning, before breakfast there is a yoga/meditation session you can join.

All meals, excluding one diner at Hole in the Wall, will be prepared for you in our galley by Mallika and served around 8.30 (breakfast), 12.30 (lunch), 18.30 (diner).
